Back in 2017 we photographed Lindsey & Matt’s wedding in Connecticut. It was an amazing event and I’ll blog that soon to show off all the goodness.

So I was super excited when she called wanting to do beach family photos back in my old home state of Florida. We picked a weekday at sunrise so a lot of people wouldn’t be out and about … and I love sunset because we almost always get perfect light. I drove in that morning from Orlando with my assistant and was a little tired but it’s always worth it for a session that goes this great.

They brought Simon’s favorite adult friend to stand near me and help keep him happy and smiling while we did the family pictures. He was going through a little foot and mouth at the time and this was just what he needed to help him ignore it and have fun. In general even if he didn’t, it was probably the best addition to a session I’ve ever had and I totally recommend bringing a child’s favorite buddy to get all these cheese moments! Ps. anything that showed up on camera we just photoshopped out, so if your kiddo is going through that and you don’t want to reschedule do not fear, Studio Lemus is here!

Those blue eyes OMG!!!! He’s such a cute kid, I can’t even handle it! Plus he had a kiss on his face from mom which really just made it feel so special. This is probably my favorite image from the session.

The following image was actually one of the first ones of the session and kicked it off the right way to let Simon know we were there to enjoy the beach and just have some fun! My second favorite image of the session 🙂
