Tony & Michelle – Aruba Adventure Photo Session

So after

-> Tony & Michelle’s wedding <-

and a day of recovery we launched out to do an Aruba adventure photo session at Arikok national park, absolutely one of the coolest place on the island!!!

Michelle had expressed wanting to go to Conchi natural pool so the morning of the shoot me and Mike tried to scout it out not knowing what we were about to get into. We had a tiny roller skate of a car and as we followed the signs through the park we realized we had made a terrible mistake. The paved road turned to dirt and then the dirt turned into big ass rocks. On one side of the road was cactus and on the other side was a small drop off so turning around was not an option. We slowly and terrifyingly wobbled over boulders until we hit a flat patch near the top where our rental car proceeded to die. Officially stuck in a desert at noon with no cell service we proceeded to freak out. Then we walked. We made it back to the entrance about an hour later where a park worked with a 4×4 truck laughed at our stupidity and drove us back up to hopefully fix the car. Turns out a battery wire had become unattached, he taught us how to jerry-rig it (sparks included) and off we went fingers crossed back down the rock wall.

We had just enough time to run back to the hotel grab our gear and pick up the couple. But we made it! We went back to the park, steered clear of the road to conchi and instead had an amazing session at Boca Prins, Quadriki Cave and Baby Beach.

This session made us even more grateful they chose us to be their destination wedding photographers!
