Cherokee Ranch & Castle Wedding
We had just moved to Colorado when I got the inquiry for a Cherokee Ranch & Castle wedding. I’d soon learn that it’d become one of my favorite venues in all of the state. I mean views, a castle, big open spaces and all kinds of stone and iron details… it’s a photographers dream. So when April & Aaron found me through Rocky Mountain Bride I was so excited to be a part of their wedding day.
Their style was classic elegance which you can absolutely see from start to finish of the day. The Gardner effect helped bring together their white, blush, gold and greenery to create the perfect palette. Their family and wedding party was the part that really brought this day together though. The smiles and tears and hugs and laughs were not held back (especially during toasts).
They had a Catholic ceremony at St. Francis which if you are of that faith is a beautiful church with wonderful scenery on the grounds. We followed that by portraits around Cherokee Ranch & Castle’s grounds. We even launched the drone up for a few images on the top of the castle.
Reception time brought THE BEST mariachi band and dancers I have ever seen! Definitely a wonderful honor to photograph such a traditional and high energy Mexican performance. They also did their first dance by candlelight under the stars.
Lastly we got to do a start portrait before we left, these are always my favorite whenever there’s a clear sky! It’s the last image in this post so check it out 🙂
