Steve & Alexis – Breckenridge Elopement, Colorado
On February 13th it was overcast, snowing and below freezing. I was worried for these two who were flying in to marry from central Florida. Would they freeze their butts off? Would they like snow? How would they do with the altitude?
Then on Valentine’s day, the day of Steve & Alexis’s Breckenridge elopement Colorado delivered the most perfect day of all time. It was what we call a bluebird day, not a single cloud, the bluest of blue for as far as the eye can see. And at around 40 degrees that made it a perfectly warm mountain day. Alexis actually said as she was wearing a strapless gown that “it wasn’t that bad.”
They wanted a mountain view so I gave them a list of spots I loved and they decided Sapphire Point was it! They found a wonderful officiant who happened to be out in the mountains that day and a salon to get Alexis picture perfect. We met at the trail parking lot and walked out together to the place they’d say I Do.
Their Breckenridge elopement
included a ring exchange and hand fasting in their ceremony and then sealed it with a kiss! We wandered the trail taking pictures and goofing around and then they spent the rest of the week playing around Breckinridge (including snowmobiling which I’m super jealous about).
I asked Alexis to give some advice to any of those planning to elope and she said, “Do not overthink it!! Relax, enjoy yourself and drink it all in. Part of the reason we chose eloping is because we wanted it to be special and share those moments together.”
Congratulations to these two beautiful wonderful humans!
