When your wedding backdrop is full of majestic mountains and breathtaking red rock formations, you don’t need much more to have the dreamiest wedding ever. Leany and Justin’s Garden of the Gods Resort Wedding in Colorado Springs encapsulated all of the beauty that Colorado has to offer.
I got a call from Leany’s mom trying to find the perfect fit for her daughter’s wedding. The relationship between mother and daughter is the part that immediately struck me… it reminded me of my own, that super rare best friendship that can happen between the two generations. We would quickly learn that both sides of the family have energy, love, and humor that made you gravitate to them.
Leany & Justin had planned a few different weddings in the midst of covid but eventually landed on an intimate setting surrounded by a small number of family and friends. They were able to soak up every minute with loved ones at this romantic mountain wedding venue.
The bride wore an intricately beaded wedding gown with a ball gown silhouette and a high beaded neckline. Leany had the most adorable custom made white rhinestone bridal sneakers that allowed her to climb the red rocks so we could capture romantic sunset photos of the couple. The groom looked sharp wearing a cream suit with a white shirt and a cream diagonally striped tie.
For the reception, they had dinner at a u-shaped table with a simple touch of green garland and gold charger place settings on the wedding table to accent the natural place they were in. Across each plate was a laser-cut wooden place card with each of the guest’s names. It had been tempting rain all day and around dinner time some crazy clouds and light came out that we got to take advantage of. After the sun went down, the guests stayed warm by the fire pits giving toasts and enjoying the last of mountain views.
