Read More›Emily & Josh’s Della Terra Mountain Chateau wedding in Estes Park, Colorado was something out of a fairytale…. which to be honest was a much needed turn of events since it happened to be days before the whole area shut down because of a wildfire. Even leading up all the guests and vendor team were on high alert checking routes, keeping in contact and planning alternate routes in to make sure it was safe. Both me and my second shooter ended up taking a longer route up that did cut through HEAVY HEAVY smoke, probably the most terrifying moment in my career. But we made, everyone made it and it was AMAZING!

We met while working a wedding together… which she had to direct me how to get there through a parade that was happening on the venue’s road, it was a journey lol. But as the day went on we just immediately knew we’d be friends and in the time before I left for Colorado we had a lot more weddings … and happy hours together.

Read More›Oh my gracious. I don’t even know where to start with Aaron & Elizabeth! I already had a personal relationship with them as Elizabeth’s family has been close friends with Mike’s (hubby) family for decades. In the past we’d had a few dinners and shared wine together but this was the first time I got to hang out with the two of them on their own and get to see their playful flirty and funny personalities as a couple really shine. We had kicked around a ton of ideas on where to photograph knowing that no matter what it had to be in the Colorado mountains. We started googling the phrase vail engagement session and ended up finding Officers Gulch and Shrine Pass out between Vail and Copper mountain and while none of us had been there we all agreed it was the perfect adventure for their photos.
